About

My name is Serena Manickam, and I have been a freelance copyeditor and proofreader since 2016. Although I have experience editing everything from websites to novels, I specialize in ecofiction, fantasy, Christian fiction and nonfiction, and family history. (Click here for more information about my editing services.) Before setting out my editing shingle, I worked as a communications administrative assistant, and I also dabbled in freelance writing for a couple years.

My desk currently sits in a nineteenth-century farmhouse in Virginia, where I live with my husband and two house rabbits. When I’m not editing, I enjoy hiking in the Blue Ridge Mountains, vegetable gardening, baking, and reading.
